Looking for a safe bicycle lock? Well, perhaps you should rethink these thoughts. A shocking test reveals how easy it is for the thief to break almost any “safe” bicycle lock on the market.
A couple of guys on Youtube made a video about how easy it is to break any bicycle lock within i a few minutes, and some really crappy locks within a few seconds just by using physical strength.
By using tools like bolt cutters and angle grinders they managed to almost break every lock in the test.
The test consisted of seven different locks. The one with the best results, the Hiplock D1000 Anti-Angle Grinder, they did not manage to cut through after 15 minutes of trying. And it seems this lock is the only one in the test that is actually worth spending some money on, if you are ready to pay $345.
